The Students of Bilva Indian School volunteered in the Blood donation camp held in the school campus on 29th January 2016, in association with Friends of India Events (FOI). The camp was honored by the esteemed Chief Guest Mr. N.K. Nirwan, vice consul, The Consul General of India. The Guests of Honour were Ms. Zainab Haider, Public Relation, Blood donor Recruitment unit, Latifa Hospital, Dubai, Mr. Shivaprasad Mayya, President, FOI events and Mr. Richard Monteiro, Principal, Bilva Indian School, Dubai. The camp was sponsored by Future Vision and DigitalEye Studio.
The grand event commenced with a welcome speech by Sreelakshmi of grade 7, followed by the inauguration of the Blood Donation Camp to commemorate The Indian Republic Day. Guests were honoured with mementos. The School choir sang Vande Matharam followed by the UAE National Anthem and Indian National Anthem.
All our student volunteers sprang into action by taking up their roles to aid the camp services. Ushering, registration, certificate writing and serving refreshments etc, were their key roles where they were appreciated.
The program was a grand success with 100% donors participation in the camp.
